Shattles Communications promotes two senior team members

We are excited to announce new roles for two of our senior team members. Michelle Taute has been named our Chief Creative Officer, and Barbara Grimsley has been named Senior Communications Manager.

Previously serving as our Creative Director, Michelle is the person you call when you want to get your project off the ground, and the guiding force behind making sure our work digs deeper and really gets at the heart of clients’ needs and goals.

“Michelle excels at asking questions and encouraging our team to create messaging and campaigns that will resonate with audiences and leave a meaningful impression,” said Sabrina Shattles, President and Founder of Shattles Communications.

With a deep background in content, design and technology, Michelle focuses on telling compelling—and effective—stories in nearly every format imaginable. She’s spent 20+ years working on branding and marketing efforts for everyone from startups to Fortune 500 brands across CPG, healthcare, retail, media, toys and games, and more.

As Senior Communications Manager, Barbara leads and develops strategic messaging for clients, and she also leads the internal and external communications for our agency.

“Barbara is a skilled writer and content strategist. She always helps our clients find new ways to approach their messaging while also staying on brand and working toward their goals,” added Shattles.

Barbara is a marketing communications professional with 18 years of experience in public relations, advertising, and digital content strategy and project management. In her work with clients, Barbara likes to find the story behind a new product and campaign and find the best channels to share that message with key audiences.

Barbara Grimsley

Barbara is a marketing communications professional with 18 years of experience in public relations, advertising, and digital content strategy and project management. In her work with clients, Barbara enjoys the opportunity to think creatively and tell compelling stories. Outside of work, she loves to read and travel. So far, Belgium and the Pacific Northwest claim the top spots on her favorite-places list, but Barbara hopes to give them a run for their money in the years ahead, when she plans to hike and eat her way across more overseas destinations and U.S. states she hasn’t visited yet—with the goal of eventually checking off all 50.
